My name is Adam Michael Smith. Right now I’m currently based in New York,  but I was born and raised in California. This also explains why even after living for a few years in NYC, my loyalty still belongs to Cal Berkeley. My job as a lawyer can be challenging at times with all the hours spent in court, working with the police, representing clients before the grand jury, and more so I make sure to recharge by engaging in my hobbies and traveling. Every now and then I travel to Martha’s Vineyard where I can get my well-deserved vacation while enjoying the clear blue sea.

Since I can’t travel a lot, I take a break at the end of the day by watching police dramas and comedies like the classic show The Grand Jury and newer programs like Brooklyn Nine-nine, Law and Order, The District, and The Fall. Watching these shows can be refreshing because the characters make me feel that I’m doing something right on the job. They can also give me ideas on some of the cases I’m working on.

Recently, I took up photography as a hobby. I realize that this makes traveling more worthwhile for me. Even if I’m not yet an expert, I enjoy capturing interesting sights even in familiar places. It’s nice to tap into my creative side every now and then.
